Description

There are few shell builders that can build to this quality but the
highly respected Simon Wain of Brinklow Boat Services was
commissioned to produce a replica tug style boat of the once
commercial carrying fleet of eight boats of W H Cowburn and
Cowpar of Manchester. The shell took a considerable amount of
time to complete with a resulting top quality reproduction complete
with fine lines both above and below the waterline. No expense
was spared in her build, with exotic hardwoods used throughout.
As you cannot fit just any engine in a shell of this style, a fabulous
Gardner 3LW Marine, renowned for its smooth running and mellow
exhaust note was chosen. There are four berths aboard, two of
which are in the Boatmans cabin, with the other two on a clever
slide out bed which in daytime mode is housed under the tug deck.
From the offset Siskin was completed as a GAS FREE boat with
cooking and cabin warmth provided by a Vintage diesel range, with
extra heat from the skirting rads throughout the cabin. 230V power
onboard is provided by the quiet running cocooned diesel
generator or the 3.5kW pure sine wave inverter, both of which are
more than adequate to run the mains equipment.
