SALE IS NOW AGREED
If you are looking for a good size liveaboard or leisure craft then Merlin is perfect for the job.
Merlin underwent some work following the survey which has resulted in some of the cabin being dismantled and the water tank needing to be replaced.
There is a temporary tank in place but there remains to be some remedial work to be done under the floor and to replace some of the the lining inside. Due to lockdown and navigation closures I have not been able to get the work done, this could be a while, this ad will expire on 28/2. After that I will wait until work is complete before readvertising.
If anyone wants to make a sensible offer as is, then please read on, or save the details and contact again after April.
If you are still interested please read on
At 44' she is big enough for a single person or couple to live in with comfort. As a leisure boat, a small family would find her perfect for their needs.
With a separate double cabin, good sized saloon, well appointed galley and clean, modern shower room, you could move in straight away!
Boat is currently moored on the Southern GU near Hemel Hempstead.
Merlin has been kept by the current owner since 2004.
Originally believed to have started out as a hire boat on the Calder and Hebble, many improvements have been made to this little boat, which has been loved and well cared for.
Her history from 1990 is known and details are available.

Built in approximately 1976. Both the hull and cabin are constructed in steel.
Cabin was lengthened in the 1990's to convert a cruiser stern to a trad stern with dedicated engine room. This also gives extra storage space.
The hull was grit blasted back to steel in 2005 and has had 2 pack epoxy applied ever since.
Recently blacked with Hempel 2 pack epoxy in Feb 2020.
Boat Safety certificate valid until 2023
The hull was over-plated in the late 1990’s by Bim Simcoe (pictures available on request)
Original steel hull 5mm to bottom and side shell. Doubling plates 5mm thick.
Latest Hull survey Feb 2020 by Tucker Designs, available to view on request.
