The current and previous owners of Tranquil Waters, previously
known as September Sunrise, have enjoyed a life afloat
whilst making modifications and improvements to make her the
boat she is today. The onboard inventory makes her ideal for
cruising or static residential use, a 2kW pure sine wave inverter
should prove enough to power the fitted washing machine when
the engine is running. A large solar array, no less than 350W
along with an MPPT controller, should keep the batteries in tip top
condition and allow prolonged stays in out of the way places.
Boats of this length are always at a premium because at just under
47ft in length, Tranquil Waters is capable of taking you to any of
the far flung corners of the whole connected canal and river
system. The rugged BMC 1.8 engine was professionally rebuilt by
Calcutt Boats in 2015. Unusually she does not feature a
conventional rudder system, but a clever, well engineered
mechanism that directs the thrust from the propeller via a tube,
making slow forward or aft manoeuvring a pleasure. As an added
benefit she comes with a new four year BSS certificate.
